The Looshaus table lamp is a contemporary design that interprets the modernist austerity of the Looshaus building by architect Adolf Loos.
The Looshaus building in Vienna marked a turning point in architecture by its rejection of historicism and the evolution towards Modernism. The radical aesthetic implemented on the ground floor columns triggered a reflection about the purism of materials and forms.
Being made with two carved blocks of marble, Looshaus is a contemporary luxury lighting piece, designed to be part of a special residential project or luxury hotel. The light exalts the beauty of the marble’s natural rays while directly illuminating the open gallery created by the vertical nickel columns and projecting an incredibly beautiful geometric effect.
