This item is a crystalline example of midcentury French craftsmanship, with bamboo and rattan perfectly blended and shaped in a geometric way.
A gorgeous pendant, perfect for a mid-century outdoor project or a French Riviera living room. There is no electrical system, which can be installed on request for each country or electrical system.
Wired for an E27 light bulb.

Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic flair while also being usable. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at the École Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer went on to become a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decoroteurs. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
