About the Item
There are 5 pairs available. The price is per pair.
The name Tulipan derives from the tulip shaped handblown bubble glasses. Each glass is handmade and therefore a unique piece. A sconce is made of a white enameled metal frame which holds 14 glass pieces with brass bolts.
Each fixture has five sockets for small Edison screw base bulbs or LEDs (E14 candelabra with max. 40W per bulb) and it is compatible with the US/UK/ etc. standards.
It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity. It also can be used with a dimmer.
The lamps are in very good condition and ready to use.
Shipping price depends on number of ordered items.
The lights are labelled and documented in the Kalmar catalogue from the 1970s.
Kalmar had a cooperation with several Italian glass makers located in Murano (e.g. Mazzega, Venini) and got the glasses from there. Several other European companies like Orrefors (Sweden), Limburg and Hillebrand from Germany, and Arredoluce, Stilnovo, Fontana Arte from Italy used handblown or textured glass for their lamps in 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
