Rare Midcentury Venetian Mouth Blown Glass In Iron Frame Pendant / Chandelier

This rare and stylish Murano pendant is beautiful in shape and the smoked glass is perfectly mouthblown into the rare, near-circular, handcrafted metal frame. This rare, globe design even comes with the original Murano chain and the hand-forged and blackened, circular iron canopy (with the hook for easy mounting inside). This unique pendant radiates a warm light, that will bring the perfect ambiance in an entrance or in any other room. Have you also noticed the amazing patterns it creates on your ceiling and walls. We have never seen a globe design and smoked glass, mouthblown Murano pendant and certainly not of this size. What we also have never seen in a Venetian Murano pendant is the unique and organically stylish, hand-crafted metal element at the bottom. It is this rare element that convinces us that this rare light fixture can only have been made by one of the famous glass studios. We don’t have the books/literature to be able to find out which studio that must have been. There is one unfortunate thing about this rare pendant and that is the reason why we are asking less than half (!) of what this light would be worth if it were in perfect condition. When the light is switched on and especially when looking at this pendant at eye-level, several small and superficial scratches appear on the outside of almost all bulging glass sections (but only in the middle). The higher up this light is mounted, the less visible they seem to become. When the light is not on, you cannot see these superficial scratches at all (as you can see in our photos). This unique and relatively large size pendant will be professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate use in the U.S.A. as well and you will be able to use one regular American E26 bulb of up to 100watts. Thanks to the metal hook inside the canopy, mounting this light is child’s play.
